A programme of car park refurbishment in the District was initiated when the Ashtead Independents formed a joint Administration with the Conservatives in 2018-19.
It is now the turn of the Grove Road car park, and on 19 March Cabinet approved £ 175,000 for this work to be undertaken in 2024/25. The works will involve repairing the surface and renewing the lines marking the parking bays. The bays are planned to remain as at present, and there are no plans to install electric charging points, although ducting for future ones may be installed. Consideration will also be given to the boundaries, signage and lighting, with details to be agreed between the Ashtead Independent Councillors and Council Officers.
The works are scheduled to commence “during Summer 2024”.
